Gina Altree was a founder
member of the Talisman.
We are grateful to her granddaughter, Mary Clements and Mary's
husband Roger for these memories of early productions.
Gina
is centre of the back row in this photo. She had a daughter, Kay, who also took
parts in many plays with her. They lived at "One Oak", Birches Lane,
Kenilworth and loved the old Talisman. Kay later became Kay Gregory. Gina ran
the refreshments stall until well into her 80s.
Mary Clements remembers, as a child, the leaky roof of the old building requiring
buckets during panto performances! They always finished with "There's no
business like show business!"
